Job Description

Are you interested in working for one of NY's most altruistic, mission driven engineering companies? Would you like to be a part of a team comprised of ex Google, Etsy and Facebook technologists? If so I'd love to hear from you.

Our client's mission is to empower people within academia via their platform and allow them to knowledge share and buy and sell original content. They've built an online community of millions of people around the world who are either directly, or indirectly impacting this space in the most positive possible way.

With an extremely successful business model they are growing and are looking for a Technical Lead to play a key role in the future innovations of the company.

In this role you'll be responsible for discovering and defining problems, implementing solutions and setting success metrics. This team represents a new area of innovation for our client and thus is a critical piece of the puzzle.

The ideal candidate will have technical leadership experience on one or more projects, as well as being a full stack expert with both client and server side JavaScript experience. Someone with well thought out technical opinions and the ability to evaluate technical trade-offs. This person will also have worked within a product driven company with service orientated architecture and API driven websites.

This is a fast paced business and I have no doubt they will get the person they want sooner rather than later - if you think that could be you don't hesitate to reach out!

p.s. it's worth noting that they have a number of individual contributor roles also, so if you don't quite meet all of the requirements but like the sound of the company I'd encourage you to apply.
