Service Desk Support Engineer - Financial Services - London

Rate: Up to £250 per day

A Global Investment bank are looking to hire an experienced Service Desk Support Engineer to join their team to help troubleshoot enterprise applications


This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Desk Engineer to join a leading Financial Organisation in their IT Department. You will be responsible for the support and maintenance of the EMEA desktop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 1st and 2nd Line support
  • Responsible for installing, maintaining and upgrading all hardware and equipment
  • Work collaboratively with 3rd level support and escalate effectively when needed
  • The installation, upgrading and supporting of enterprise application
  • Responsible for the diagnosing and repairing of hardware
  • Desk side incident resolution when required

Key Skills:

  • Strong technical knowledge of desktop hardware
  • Previous IT Service desk experience (ideally within financial services)
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft based operating systems and applications (especially Windows 7 and Office 2010)
  • Experience with Active Directory Administration
  • ITIL knowledge
