Job Description

One of the world's leading financial services organisations are looking for a senior finance professional to join their team. You will be involved in driving insightful strategic planning, business performance analysis and providing executive decision support to the global head, essentially acting as a deputy. It is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team in a high profile progressive and broad role, facing off to the business, supporting and challenging decisions across the globe.


Specifically your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving insightful strategic planning, business performance analysis and planning and forecasting
  • Supporting the Head of Business Information and Analysis as a business partner to the global banking business on a global scale
  • Leading the offshore team, ensuring key metrics are met on time and to a good level
  • Due to the breadth of the senior management team growing and the complexity of the products/client situation increasing, the global head needs someone with the strength to drive client/ RM efficiency
  • Constantly improving existing MI processes, driving efficiencies due to the increasing complexity of the products/ client situation
  • Playing a key part in business transformation, partnering the business looking at the production of commercial analysis and being adaptable to the change mentality.
  • Ad hoc project work - consisting of IFRS9, RoTE, Basel IV, BREXIT and Ring Fence Banking Legislation


To be considered for this job, you will have the following experience:

  • Large banking background/ financial services experience 5 years +
  • CIMA/ ACA/ ACCA/ CFA or other international finance/accounting qualification or MBA
  • Strong business partnering/ financial planning and analysis background
  • Senior stakeholder engagement across regional business lines
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good product knowledge (fixed income, collateral lending book, investment banking) and understanding of different asset classes
  • A desire to learn, someone who can help the team drive the business with great returns
  • Ability to influence across functions, geographies and businesses
  • Strong IT skills - VBA and ACCESS
  • Commercially driven and excellent interpersonal skills, asking the right questions and challenging the status quo
