Job Description

One of the world's leading life insurance businesses are looking for a commercially astute, relationship driven Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Manager (VP level). This person will act as a strategic analyst, partnering throughout the organisation, driving decisions and facilitating the development of solutions to complex financial challenges faced by the business.


Specifically your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving strategic decisions, delivering recommendations supported by strong analytics
  • Engaging with stakeholders across the business, developing solutions to complex financial challenges
  • Looking at competitor analysis and other internal information that will then facilitate the review of internal business results and trends throughout the division
  • Build on an already existing knowledge of the life insurance industry
  • Presenting findings/ results to senior stakeholders within the Group insurance function and the wider business
  • Looking at actuarial data, partnering with teams that are performing calculations (including capital and embedded value reporting)
  • Communicating both clearly and logically answers to questions to senior management (including CFO level)
  • Strategic partnering with different stakeholders with a commercial mind-set, looking at the big picture
  • Writing impactful reports and PowerPoint presentations


To be considered for this job, you will have the following experience:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) - 5 years post qualified experience
  • MUST be relationship driven and have the ability to form a rapport with a variety of stakeholders across the business
  • A strong life insurance background
  • Business partnering experience within a large, complex, matrix environment
  • Working knowledge of insurance solvency regulation
  • Adaptable with the ability to take on varied ad hoc tasks/ activities when required
  • Gravitas and leadership skills with a high degree of credibility with senior management
  • Ability to influence teams within a matrix environment
