This role sits within the Security Services arm part of the Custodian Business. THE ROLE

This global investment bank are looking for a Sanctions Governance Assistant Manager to join their global Sanctions team as an AVP.

This role sit across a global team and will give the successful candidate wider exposure to senior stakeholders across the business worldwide. This is a new, yet growing, team giving the successful candidate fantastic opportunities for career progression within a Sanctions Policy and Governance role.

The successful candidate will help develop, communicate and implement strategy, standards, controls, global systems and policies in relation to sanctions for businesses, globally.

  • Provide support in respect of Trade, Economic and Financial Sanctions (including sanctions programs administered by the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control, United Nations, European Union and HM Treasury's Financial Sanctions, and global risk management framework to meet legislative and regulatory requirements for the business
  • Provide key support to the Sanctions Governance manager and also the Line of Business on Sanction and key products with the business
  • Assist Senior Sanctions Managers in building and maintaining a strong partnership with the global business to effectively drive and accelerate the execution of FCC Sanctions change programme
  • Provide support to the Global Sanctions Governance Manager in managing the implementation of the Global Sanctions Policy and programme and the risk management framework to meet legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Assist in managing all aspects of the day-to-day global sanctions policy governance activities

YOU

To be considered for this job, you will have the following experience:

  • Previous experience in a Sanctions or wider Financial Crime policy and advisory role within the financial services
  • Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF) or Sanctions issues
  • Previous experience writing Sanctions and AML policies and procedures and providing advice
  • Able to interact at a senior level both internally and externally
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
  • Ability to provide creative solutions to complex issues
  • Well organised with an ability to prioritise effectively
