Job Description

Twenty have partnered with a Financial Services firm who provide integrated front to back-office services to Investment Managers and Financial institutions. They are looking for a Reference Data Quality specialist to join their Data Management function which is responsible for leading data strategy, governance, and commercial initiatives across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Work with key data consumer / producer groups to identify key reference data elements and ensure definitions, data quality standards and other business metadata are documented and inventorised
  • Review existing business data and ensure it complies with policy / standards with a focus on cleansing and enriching data to remove duplications and inaccuracies
  • Monitor Data quality throughout the function and the application of rules to improve data
  • Help develop processes for identifying and analysing reference data-related issues, ensuring items are tracked and resolved
  • Guide projects and new product approval processes on the proper use of reference data, ensuring new requirements are reviewed and approved
  • Help to coordinate strategic initiatives
  • Support the Head of Data Management with data mapping activities
  • Help drive the adoption of data policy and monitor breaches at an enterprise level
  • Working closely with all senior stakeholders across the Operations and Quant functions.

Experience

  • Seasoned reference data specialist across global markets, derivatives or securities environment
  • Reference Data experience in a change/control capacity with focus on reference data domains
  • Strong asset class knowledge and data product types
  • Strong knowledge of identifiers, classifications and data attributes relating to financial instruments and counterparties essential
  • Data quality, governance, management and migration experience
  • Data qualifications such as CDMP, CIMP, DGSP desirable
  • Familiarity with data vendors, Bloomberg or reuters
