Oracle Functional Support - Banking - London

A global Investment bank are looking to hire an Oracle e-Business Functional Support Analyst to Provide Functional day-to-day support and assist in activities related to enhancing the Oracle e-business suite.

Key responsibilities:

  • Triage inbound issues and problems raised by Finance on the Oracle e-business suite
  • Analyse root cause and provide feedback to end users on status and progress
  • Work with developers on building and testing fixes in an appropriate environment running through the SDLC
  • Assist in quality assurance and ensure changes undergo formal user acceptance testing before being rolled out production
  • Provide documentation according to AIM standards which may include BR.100, MD.050, TE.020, TE.040. Assist with reviewing and signing off Technical documentation
  • Assess vendor based changes on the system and participating in rolling out patch updates
  • Work on the bank's strategic vision by assisting with longer term project based changes
  • Provide extended levels of support around critical Financial reporting periods such as month-end and year-end
  • Manage expectations of stakeholders by providing realistic and regular status updates on progress

Required Skills:

  • Have extensive functional experience supporting and configuring the Oracle R12 e-business suite Financials, Procure-to-Pay
  • Have some experience working with iExpenses & Project Costing/Billing and be familiar with the key concepts and the integration points with Financials
  • Have some light technical database query capabilities using SQL*Plus and have the ability to review a PL/SQL packaged procedure and relay key concepts
  • Demonstrable experience working with Oracle development tools such as Workflow & XML Publisher etc…
  • Be familiar working business intelligence tools such as OBIEE, Discoverer, Business Objects, Qlikview
  • Have real life hands on experience on project based Oracle implementations with a robust understanding of the project life cycle
  • Would be advantageous having experience with scheduling software such as Control-M, Autosys
  • Would be advantageous having experience with Hyperion Financial Planning
