Oracle e-Business Technical Support Analyst - Banking - London

A global Investment bank are looking to hire an Oracle e-Business Technical Support Analyst to Provide Technical day-to-day support and undertake development activities related to enhancing the Oracle e-business suite.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop fixes or enhancements across the Oracle Financials technology platform in Financials, Procure to pay, iExpenses and Project Costing/Billing modules
  • Address issues or enhancement requests around financial reporting or management information
  • Provide timely updates to stakeholders in terms of progress and status of issues
  • Undertake functional configuration/setup changes on the Oracle applications
  • Work with Oracle support, raising SR's and providing diagnostic information when required
  • Provide out-of-hours support to address any critical system issues in a timely manner
  • Ensure development work has been subjected to QA, with support evidence to ensure changes are compliant with change control policy and procedures
  • Documenting Unit & Systems Integration Testing and supporting/co-ordinating User Acceptance Tests
  • Communicate with wider technology teams to ensure fixes or enhancements are executed in a controlled and co-ordinated manner

Required Skills:

  • Strong Oracle e-business suite experience, with a proven track record with RICE based deliverables
  • Strong understanding of database languages such as SQL*Plus & PL/SQL
  • Experience working with a business intelligence tool such as OBIEE, Discoverer, Business Objects, Qlikview
  • Have a good level of familiarity with development tools such as Workflow, XML Publisher, J-Developer
  • Have some functional experience supporting the R12 Oracle e-business suite in the Financials, Procure-to-Pay, iExpenses and Projects modules
  • Have had exposure to project implementations with a robust understanding of the project life cycle
  • Would be advantageous having experience with scheduling software such as Control-M, Autosys or equivalent
  • Would be advantageous having experience with Hyperion Financial Planning software
