Job Description

Twenty Financial Services are currently working with a leading Investment Manager who are looking to hire an ambitious Operations Oversight Analyst on a 12 month contract. You will be a key figure in the team responsible for running the operational division of over 200 staff. Duties will include management of various Committee and Board Packs, department initiatives log, adhoc financial analysis, Management Information (MI) and strategic planning.


  • In conjunction with relevant internal stakeholders, collate and review risk metrics, team heat-maps, audit information & risk assessments, identifying items for escalation and publishing monthly reporting
  • Provide assistance in reviewing and managing department training costs versus budget
  • Complete the Business Continuity Plan Review (includes obtaining staff updates, Investment Operations system requirements)
  • Co-ordinate inputs across Investment Operations and publish regular Management Information (MI), including various metrics, initiatives lists and Board reports, ensuring trends & risks are highlighted as appropriate
  • Prepare and distribute the quarterly Board report
  • Compile relevant presentation documentation for Head of Investment Operations adapting content for the various audiences as appropriate
  • Analyse team publications, adding comprehensive commentary on findings, trends & recommendations where appropriate
  • Liaise with relevant areas to ensure appropriate governance and structure in place to support cross-department Citizenship programmes such as Employee Survey
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of required information
  • Represent and promote the team / department at various internal meetings & projects, as required
  • Conduct ad-hoc business reviews, analysis and research as part of strategic planning for the division (e.g. departmental process reviews, RFP/RFIs)
  • Maintain and circulate Investment Operations authority schedules
  • Assist in the completion of eligible markets reviews for relevant product ranges
  • Ensure relevant management materials are distributed and associated meetings arranged

Experience & Skills:

  • Experience within Financial industry, particularly in Operations functions
  • Proven experience of working directly with, and taking direction from, senior management
  • Experience of delivering high-quality output to tight deadlines
  • Proven experience of proactively managing own workload and assessing priorities
  • Ability to manage and co-ordinate work flow from a variety of sources and individuals
  • Experience in providing a high quality customer experience and service
  • Strong understanding of Operational Risk Management
  • Understanding of operations processing
  • Developed written skills and ability to write compelling reports for both internal and external use
  • Developed relationship management skills
  • Developed presentation skills
