This is a second line of defence role focusing on helping the Bank identify and assess their Operational Risk controls by conducting audit style reviews across the business.

Specifically your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform Operational Risk Reviews and Audit activity across EMEA
  • Engage with key stakeholders to effectively plan Operational Risk Audit activity
  • Working with key stakeholders in different areas of the business to ensure their controls are effective
  • Identify any gaps and put in place effective changes that need to be made
  • Assist with the design of the Operational Risk Monitoring & Testing Plan


To be considered for this role you must have the following:

  • Operational Risk Internal Audit, Testing or Assurance experience within Capital Markets, Wealth Management or Investment Management is essential
  • General understanding of regulatory rules and best practice is desirable
  • Excellent product knowledge is key
  • Previous management or supervisory experience
  • General understanding of regulatory rules and best practice is desirable
  • Business awareness - understanding of wholesale banking activities and requirements is key
  • Relevant professional certifications including CIA, ACA, ACCA is an advantage
