Job Description

Twenty have partnered with a Financial Services firm who provide integrated front to back-office services to Investment Managers and Financial institutions. They are looking for a Head of Reference Data to lead their Data Management function which is responsible for leading data strategy, governance, and commercial initiatives across the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a small team of reference data analysts to provide regional coverage to the global client base
  • Key point of contact for reference data, assisting with projects, new product and on-boarding processes
  • Accurate capture and validation of reference data in adherence with definition, rules and control requirements as agreed with Data Consumers (e.g. client-facing Quant & Risk teams)
  • Provide expertise for reference data and instrument static i.e., identifiers, classifiers and data relating to financial instruments
  • Monitoring of automated intraday and batch reference data flows with resolution of breaks
  • Drive enhancements and re-architecting of existing data capture and validation processes, to include facilitation of enterprise data management / security master platform implementation
  • Review existing BAU processes and help to enhance data capture processes via automation and process/procedure framework
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders
  • Produce outputs relating to data quality monitoring and control processes as required by Data Stewards for reporting

Experience

  • Previous experience managing a data management function
  • Operational, control and change focus on reference data domains
  • Extensive experience within global markets, securities
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and interact with quant/technology teams
  • Knowledge of reference / master data management technology and implementation experience
  • Strong knowledge of identifiers and data attributes relating to financial instruments
  • Awareness of data catalogue/dictionary and master data repository
