A global bank have created a new Head of Business Performance for their COO division. This is a newly created position which isn't hindered by existing politics; they are looking for someone who would apply impetus.
The focus of the role is split between BAU and Projects/Transformation deliverables as it's felt that the Business Performance offering is currently analytical but lacking in genuine partnership capabilities, particularly for strategic initiatives.
This remit of this position demands someone who can apply a measured and calm approach to this complex environment and certain challenging stakeholders. This person should also be principled and able to ensure best practice is applied across the board.
This is a high profile and critical hire for a newly restructured business area. The opportunity to 'make your mark' is immense. The current CFO is making this hire with the view that this person would ultimately succeed him within 18 months.
