Head of Credit Card Operations - Fintech - NYC
Our fintech client HQ'd in NYC, is a fast growth Series B funded startup disrupting the traditional credit card market. As part of their rapid growth, and as they execute their go-to market strategy, they are seeking to hire an experienced operations professional to join their team.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years' relevant experience in Credit Card / Retail Banking Experience. A background in payments would be a strong plus. This is a lean and fast-paced environment that is evolving fast; an ability to work to deadlines, while manage multiple competing priorities as part of a high-performance team, is absolutely critical to success.
This is a broad and challenging role and will require knowledge and experience across a number of key areas relating to Card Operations, to include:
-Operational practice and procedure
-Regulatory and Compliance guidelines, including working with regulators
-Audit, Control and Risk Management, including working with external auditors
-Technology applications specific to credit card customer accounts and g/l systems
-New product development and management
-Operational strategy development and management
-Leading change and transformation projects including requirements documentation and user acceptance testing
-Customer Services / Customer Success
-Management of 3rd parties and vendor relationships
This is a forward-leaning technology environment and a tech-savvy candidate is required. The candidate will also have outstanding communication skills and be a highly motivated self-starter, with leadership skills and the ability to operate with a degree of autonomy and initiative. In addition to strong tech skills, a strong undergraduate degree, in addition to a CFA or MBA is desired.
