As the Director of Data Science, you will be responsible for leading and presenting high-impact Fraud analytics, as well as developing and maintaining consultative relationships with key business stakeholders. This is a permanent position with a project-oriented nature: framing and conducting analysis using large structured and unstructured data sets, with the goal of discovering meaningful insights and implications, is a key component of this position. You must be able to develop and design reports with the intention of communicating findings and making recommendations for the business. Similarly, you must demonstrate competency in building statistical models, mining large datasets, connecting data from disparate sources, and managing and mentoring a team of junior staff members. What sets this position apart from others is the way that your data will be utilized in the Human Resources department - your findings will single-handedly allow the business to identify "what our data means" and "what actions we need to take."
The most qualified candidate for this position will have studied business, computer science, engineering, or mathematics throughout his/her educational career. This candidate will also have a strong track record in consultancy, fraud, data analytics, market research, or related engagements. Experience managing a team of Data Scientists, as well as experience analyzing large data sets using R, Python, Scala or SAS is required. Strong project management skills and the ability to display excellent collaboration and consultation skills will undoubtedly lead to success in this position.
