My client is a fast growing market disruptor, focused on mobile network connectivity of 'internet of things' devices and applications. It has a large and growing subscriber base across UK and mainland Europe. They are seeking to further accelerate their growth rate having experienced significant success to date and having attracted additional investment from private equity.
Over an initial 3 months, with potential for further extension, you would be providing a consultant service analysing large quantities of data using Excel, Access and SQL to support the team and help maximise their growth. Their current database covers 2-3 million subscribers, and includes daily and monthly data for each subscriber. Project scope includes looking at trends in volumes, pricing, costs, revenues, margins and customer mix - across geographies and end industry sectors. The purpose of this is to draw out valuable insights which can be acted on to drive commercial business decisions!
This is a significant period of change for what is a mid-sized business meaning the requirements of the role will evolve swiftly as the programme takes shape and will demand a 'sleeves rolled up' mentality where necessary to directly support the design and implementation process. You will be working closely with the Head of Commercial and other leaders in the business, to pressure-test your insights and agree implications i.e. business decisions and actions
The nature of the programme and its potential effect upon the market / industry makes this a highly P&C piece of work.
