With overwhelming evidence that proves organisations with the largest number of women in their senior teams show superior growth in equity, operational results and share price it is no surprise that promoting and developing the female pipeline is now a priority for many businesses.
Here at Twenty Recruitment we don’t just talk about the need for a diverse workforce across the city but we are actively trying to challenge and change a culture that holds women back.
This week the winners of the WeAreTheCity Top 50 Rising Stars were announced and here at Twenty Recruitment we are very proud to be sponsoring their award for ‘Rising stars in HR & Recruitment’. These awards were introduced to showcase the pipeline of female talent in the UK and to create much needed role models for women across different industries and professions.
With over 340 entries and over 15,000 votes cast it really is a fantastic achievement for all the winners and we want to say a very special well done from everyone here at Twenty to our special winners in the ‘Rising stars in HR & Recruitment category’:
We can’t wait to join all of the winners in the House of Commons on Tuesday 8th September to celebrate their achievements and success and with our own female Director and Board Member, Ak Kaur, presenting these awards.
zInitiatives such as these awards are driving forward the progress and prominence of women in the city and go some way to answering the complex question of how companies can attract, retain and promote women in the city.
