Spot on. Whilst there has been much wailing and gnashing of teeth, the simple fact remains that those getting the bonuses have generated the revenue that allows for those bonuses. We are in great danger of having the most talented execs being poached by firms based in more economically liberal countries. The perception of unfairness brought about by bonuses is not one based on sound reasoning, and the slightly illogical arguments by students and franky, people that do not contribute a great deal to the economy, are being given to much credence.

Dear Michelle
I am a qualified Chartered Accountant and legal masters with experience in corporate finance and business-financial restructuring.
I am interested in knowing career options in banking companies/financial conglomerates - strategic business-financial restructuring responses to changing financial regulation. Would you kindly advice?

Hi Vivien,

Thanks for your comment. At Twenty we place a lot of importance on speaking to people directly, particularly given the level of seniority of both our clients and our candidates.

We therefore provide direct lines and emails for each director here: http://www.twentyrecruitment.com/people.php - this enables people to contact us directly with any enquiries.

Our contact details are also on the bottom of each page of the website.

We hope that helps!

The Twenty Team

Hi there,

I don't know if I'm the one mistaking it but have you noticed that there is nowhere on your website where it's given a detailed layout of the process and how one should get started whether you are looking for a job or for the perfect hire?
Do let me know

I'm a young baby boomer who is looking for a new challenge. I've been in academia for more than 20 years now and had a similar spell before that in industry and commerce. I have a Banking Diploma, a BA in Accountancy, a MBA, and a PhD in Accounting. In the old days I was an all-rounder generally working for the local (i.e. Australian) subsidiary of an international company. Now, if you ask me about specialisation, I'll tell you that I'm into Financial Management after all, I've just published an executive book about that very discipline (see www.businessexpertpress.com). I would really like the chance to get my hands dirty again. Is there any hope for me?
